I'm all about the homemade hummus. It tastes x10,000 times better than cheap shop bought ones and you're able to jazz it up as you please.

I like mine spread on flatbreads, with with pomegranate seeds, fresh parsley, coriander and crunchy seeds. Perfect for sharing with pals over a cocktail or two.

Recipe

Ingredients:

1 can of chickpeas 2 garlic cloves 1 tbsp tahini 1 tbsp lemon juice 1 tbsp oil of choice or water Pinch of sea salt 1 tsp turmeric ½ tsp cumin ¼ tsp cayenne pepper

Wholegrain flatbreads or pittas

1/4 pomegranate seeds

Choice of greens: coriander, parsley. mint or even rocket and crispy kale

Drizzle of pure honey

1 tbsp black sesame seeds or crushed almonds

Method:

Easy-peasy. Whack it all in a blender/ food processor and blend until a thick and creamy consistency.

Spread across flatbreads or pittas and top with whatever you fancy!
